CPhI Worldwide to Host Tweetchat #CPhIChat on Key Issues Facing the Pharma Industry

CPhI Worldwide is launching #CPhIChat, a global industry-wide Tweetchat aimed to facilitate conversations on key issues facing the pharmaceutical industry. Industry professionals and the media are invited to participate
in the inaugural Tweetchat that will begin on the second day of CPhI Worldwide, Wednesday, October 8th, from 2 to 4 pm, following the release of CPhI’s Annual Report.

#CPhIChat topics will center on the “Future of Pharma,” linking the industry and the 34,000 people at the show through a dedicated platform. The first of its kind industry-wide debate will focus on the key predications and trends affecting the industry including the implementation of QbD, green chemistry, pharma R&D reform, innovation and IPR, and increased outsourcing.

To open the conversation, CPhI will present key facts (with infographics) from the CPhI panel of experts’ reports on trends affecting the future of pharma. Industry professionals and experts, as well as the media, will have the opportunity to join in the debate and share their opinions and viewpoints on issues discussed. #CPhIChat will be streamed live at the show through the screens and displays.

Group director pharma at CPhI, Chris Kilbee, commented in a press statement that the aim of the #CPhIChat series is to provide another platform for driving innovation and thought leadership alongside the exhibition and speaker series.

“We look forward to hearing what the industry has to say about the future of pharma and gaining insights on both concerns and solutions during #CPhIChat. With the chat running live on the first day of #CPhIWW, we hope to see a ripple of ideas running through the show with real time feedback on the show’s designated pharma TV. I would encourage everyone attending the show to take part,” said Kilbee.

To join the debate, log into Twitter from 2 to 4 pm on Wednesday, October 8th, and use the hashtags #CPhIChat and #CPhIWW. The chat will be streamed in real-time at the CPhI Conference, with a summary report released after the show.
