Computer Aided Engineering Software Increases Productivity

Pharmaceutical Technology
Volume 37, Issue 8, pp. 12

CD-adapcoCD-adapco’s STAR-CCM+ v9.04 simulation tool allows users to reduce overall time-to-solution and increase productivity gains using STAR-CCM+ v9.04 workflow improvements, parallel meshing, and optimization capabilities. The addition of new physics models allows users to perform increasingly realistic computer-aided engineering simulations that more closely represent the real world conditions under which their product will operate. The concurrent per-part meshing allows users to distribute the wrapping and meshing of complex multi-part assemblies over many parallel processors. In addition, the adjoint solver expression mathematically combines individual cost functions together into more representative expressions, while computer-aided design can identify potential geometry failures that might disrupt design exploration and optimization studies.
