Brookfield Marks 80 Years of Laboratory Technology

PTSM: Pharmaceutical Technology Sourcing and Management
Volume 10, Issue 6

Brookfield Engineering announced its 80th year of supplying viscometers and rheometers for laboratory and on-line process control applications. Over the past 80 years, Brookfield Engineering has developed technologies to address issues regarding temperature control, small sample volumes, and low viscosities. These technologies include a range of digital and programmable viscometers and rheometers that operate in stand-alone or PC control modes. Brookfield also developed a variety of in-line process viscometers that enable manufacturers to measure viscosity continuously during production.

Some of Brookfield's technologies include the CT3 Texture Analyzer, a line of R&D and QC testing instrumentation, and the PFT Powder Flow Tester, which provides analysis of powder flow behavior in industrial equipment. Most recently, Brookfield has added touch screen technology to several of their instruments. Brookfield is headquartered in Middleboro, MA, with additional offices in England and Germany.
