Jeffrey S. Barrett
Jeffrey S. Barrett, PhD, is a research professor in the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and director of the Laboratory for Applied PK/PD at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). His research focuses on developing mathematical models to guide the design and analysis of both translational science experiments and clinical trials. These studies are pivotal to the development of new medicines and to improve our understanding of disease biolog, he says. Dr. Barrett's group develops decision support tools that interface such models with hospital-based medical records systems to guide drug therapy in critically-ill children. Much of his effort has been focused in children with cancer where Dr. Barrett works with colleagues at CHOP to a find cure for infant leukemia. |

Lipika Chablani
Lipika Chablani is a PhD candidate within the
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the
College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Mercer University. Her thesis is on the Formulation of Novel Particulate Breast Cancer Vaccines using Spray Drying and In Vivo Evaluation of Vaccine Efficac. Lipika holds a M.S.in Industrial Pharmacy, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and a B.Pharm from the K.M.Kundnani College of Pharmacy at Mumbai University. |

FanLin Kong
FanLin Kong is enrolled in the PhD program of the University of Texas Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. She also works as a graduate research assistant at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Her research interest is focused on radiopharmaceutical development in oncology. She will graduate by the end of this year and start her research career as an instructor at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. |

Jessie Lu
Wenjie Jessie Lu received her college education from Peking University in China, where she studied Biological Sciences. She is now a senior PhD student at Indiana University School of Medicine working with Dr David Flockhart in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology. She is interested in personalized medicine, with a research focus on breast cancer therapeutics, and her work has generated a number of first-author papers in peer-reviewed journals. |

Suprita A. Tawde
Tawde is a PhD candidate from Dr. Martin D’Souz's laboratory at Mercer University College of pharmacy and health sciences. Tawde holds a M.S. in pharmaceutical sciences from Mumbai University and spent three years at Cipla Ltd. Tawde is currently working on microparticulate ovarian cancer vaccine project. |
