Life Science Twin Screw Workshop: November 8 - 9, 2023

Description: The Leistritz Extrusion Life Science Extrusion Workshop is a workshop designed to instruct industry professionals on continuous manufacturing via twin screw extrusion. At the workshop, classroom sessions are supplemented by interactive "hands-on" extrusion system demonstrations.

Hosted at the Holiday Inn Express Arboretum Area, the first day of the workshop will feature classroom sessions on various twin extrusion topics. These topics include, among others, co-rotating and counter-rotating twin screw extrusion technology; continuous extrusion theory, tips and test results; feeders and material handling for pellets, powders and liquids; and downstream systems.

Hosted at the University of Texas at Austin, the second day of the workshop will feature hands on demonstrations of the following technologies:

• Twin screw extrusion systems in operation'
• Assembly and disassembly of twin screw elements
• Cleaning and maintenance of twin screw extruders
