Biosero Acceleration Lab Showcases Flagship Software During Robot-Led Tours

On Dec. 10, 2019, the Biosero Acceleration Lab in San Diego, CA, opened its doors to executives, managers, researchers, and automation engineers to showcase its flagship Green Button Go Automation Scheduling Software with the help of a Rockwell Automation OMRON LD90 mobile robot.

According to a company press release, upon arriving, visitors were greeted by the mobile robot who escorted them to the lab and introduced the range of processes and applications the software suite brings to the automation lab, including:

• Facial and voice recognition. This feature monitors and records who accesses the lab and initiates lab functions and voice commands through Amazon’s Alexa.

• Streaming data. The flagship software streams live data that enables artificial intelligence analysis and generates mobile notifications for telemetry and forensics.

• Machine learning and Internet of Things. Environmental conditions, light, motion detection, and video surveillance are controlled by sensors throughout the lab.

• Virtual and augmented reality. Product demonstrations, training programs, workflow assistance and management, and advanced insights are provided through virtual and augmented reality.

“The Acceleration Lab proves that total lab automation is possible-now. Right before your eyes, you’ll see that Green Button Go software can command everything in a lab-from a mobile robot, to a robotic arm, to a plate reader,” said Biosero CEO Tom Gilman in the press release. “Researchers and engineers marvel at the software’s capability to connect equipment from different OEMs [original equipment manufacturers] and completely automate their processes. The most impressive component is that everything is integrated, including manual tasks, and all data is collected for analysis.”

Group tours of the Biosero Acceleration Lab can be scheduled for Jan. 29, 2020 from 4 pm to 6 pm during the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening 2020 event.
