Catalyst Technology Improves Hydrogen Peroxide-Based Decontamination

The patented SKAN NANOX Catalysts enable higher efficiency breakdown of hydrogen peroxide at lower temperatures for shorter decontamination cycles.

The patented SKAN NANOX Catalysts were developed in cooperation with a Swiss university and engineered to enable higher efficiency breakdown of hydrogen peroxide at lower temperatures. The catalyst reduces the overall time and energy required for hydrogen peroxide-based decontamination and aeration, while positively impacting the effect on the environment.

The catalyst can be used in aseptic processing isolators, such as SKAN’s modular, small-scale Pharmaceutical Safety Isolator (PSI-L) with SARA material airlocks for conventional aseptic applications. The short decontamination cycle and the return air filter make it a universal, aseptic workspace for the production of aseptic and/or highly active pharmaceutical products.
