The collaboration aims to help raise funds, awareness, and engagement from pharma community for the charity’s lifesaving work in crises across the globe.

CPhI Worldwide, organized by UBM, announced on Oct. 4, 2017 a new charity partnership with International Medical Corps UK. As part of the collaboration, UBM will promote International Medical Corps across the global pharma community, with a range of fundraising and customized sponsorship packages.

International Medical Corps UK is a charity that specializes in delivering lifesaving healthcare in emergencies for people affected by disaster, disease, or conflict. Spanning more than 25 countries, their work includes providing vital aid and supplies in hotspots such as Syria, South Sudan, Yemen, and Afghanistan.

The charity delivers rapid support in crisis settings, often within just a few hours, and go where the needs are greatest. Donations will support worldwide relief, recovery, and development projects such as midwifery training, emergency nutrition, clean water, improved sanitation, and vaccination campaigns. They also enable International Medical Corps’ wider training efforts to equip local people with the knowledge and skills to be their own best first responders.

UBM is encouraging companies from its database to provide sponsorships through a variety of available charity packages and direct donations. Donations can be of any monetary value or in-kind. Charity packages range from €995 to €3995, with 100% of the sponsorship going directly to International Medical Corps.
