Dow Corning will also be presenting topical and transdermal technology advances at CPhI.

Dow Corning is showcasing its new advanced solutions for over-the-counter scar and stretch mark management as well as other silicone healthcare solutions at CPhI Worldwide 2015. In addition to exhibiting its portfolio of topical skin solutions, Dow Corning will also share its industry and technological expertise through a presentation during the event.

The company recently launched its topical ingredients portfolio, which was developed to drive innovation in over-the-counter topical products for the treatment of specific skin conditions. The new portfolio encompasses a range of silicone healthcare materials that provide the ability to formulate a variety of product forms, including gels, sprays, lotions, creams and ointments. These products comply with current and upcoming regulatory requirements applicable to their manufacture.

Dow Corning will be discussing the multiple benefits of using topical excipients to formulate pharmaceutical applications. On Oct. 14, at 11:00 a.m., Marc Eeman, skin application engineer at Dow Corning, will lead a seminar titled “Improve Skin Delivery of Actives with Silicone Technology” as part of CPhI’s Exhibitor Showcase. Eeman will highlight recent studies and applications in which Dow Corning’s silicone technologies performed successfully as topical excipients or as topical ingredients in dermatological and consumer healthcare formulations for the treatment of psoriasis, pain management and hyperpigmentation disorders.
