Groninger will showcase its FlexPro 50 line for small batch production at CPhI Worldwide 2017, and present on up- and downstream processes with freeze-dryer developer and manufacturer Martin Christ.

On Oct. 5, 2017, Groninger, an aseptic filling and closing systems manufacturer, announced that it will showcase its FlexPro 50 line for small batch production at CPhI Worldwide 2017 in Frankfurt, Germany from October 24–26, 2017. During the event, the company, together with Martin Christ, a developer and manufacturer of freeze-dryers, will present on the up- and downstream process chain in hall 4.0, booth F22.

The machine, an isolator system for aseptic processing, can fill and close nested syringes, cartridges, and vials  in one line configuration by changing few size parts. Interchangeable machine trolleys permit additional line configurations, allowing for an integrated nest/bulk process line, which achieves an output of up to 4700 objects per hour, according to Groninger.

Operators have access to the machine modules at both sides, which enables a full technical integration of the isolator modules and particle monitoring system. The machine also allows for various manual or automatic processes to cover market requirements. Standardized coordinated line modules in a highly compact design and access to the machine modules at both sides for operators enable a full technical integration of the isolator modules and particle monitoring system. According to Groninger, the concept saves up to 40% of space compared to conventional systems.

Full integration of the air supply in the isolator allows for air exchange with ambient air, with no additional space being required in a machine room. The decontamination cycle has been reduced by 50% compared to conventional isolators because of the company’s direct injection system, the company reports.
