PSL's Filter Dryers are designed by process experts for optimum levels of performance, safety and quality. The agitated nutsche filter dryers include specific design features for maximum productivity such as CIP (Clean-In-Place) and reflux cleaning achieving typically less than 2.5ppm; unique underplate heating systems for highly efficient drying; tapered filter plates and seal design enabling minimum product retention; and totally sealed single piece agitators with differential mixing providing homogeneity and uniformed drying.

PSL’s High Containment Glovebox Isolators can be incorporated for the safe handling of highly potent APIs or Cytotoxic compounds. This total process solution enables safe product offloading, contained sampling and total heel recovery for maximum product yield, all designed and integrated by PSL.

PSL’s filter dryers range from lab scale synthesis applications, Kilo-lab and Pilot plant operations to large scale commercial production, for easy and direct scale-up of chemical process. The lab sizes agitated nutsche filter dryer can be in glass (the GFD®) with 0.002m² to 0.05m² filtration areas. Larger filter dryers range from 0.05m² up to more than 2.5 m² filtration areas. They can be built to meet the strict manufacturing requirements of aseptic/sterile processes utilising gas lift-off mechanical seals, unique offloading designs, CIP and SIP (Steam-In-Place) capabilities.
