The PrepEngine Mini Sample Prep Station from Distek is suited for assay, impurity, and content uniformity applications. The instrument was developed through collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech industry leaders to simplify and speed up the content uniformity sample preparation process.
The compact benchtop design features 10 individually powered, high-output stirring stations that can prepare content uniformity samples up to 90% faster than conventional methods, as stated by the company. The design also includes two high-speed stations with adjustable speeds from 100–6000 rpm and run times from five seconds to four hours. The prep station comes in multiple designs and sizes, including clear or amber, non-sterilized or sterilized, and 50–500 mL to provide maximum testing flexibility. Users insert and twist a prepared tube to start the test.
