Shimadzu ICP Optical Emission Spectrometer Decreases Costs
Shimadzu’s ICPE-9800 series of simultaneous ICP optical emission spectrometers feature an eco mode to reduce operating costs by suppressing argon gas flow rate and power consumption by 50%. Used for analytical service and quality control laboratories, the series features two models: the ICPE-9810 with axial view plasma observation in a direction coaxial to the plasma, and ICPE-9820 with axial view and radial view plasma observation in the perpendicular direction.
The series is designed with Shimadzu’s vertically oriented mini-torch system to reduce argon gas consumption, power, memory effects, and rinse time. Even when using 99.95% pure argon gas, and not the typical gas of 99.99% or purer, the systems are able to ensure performance while reducing operating costs. ICPEsolution software allows users to save spectral data, add separate elements and wavelengths after measuring, and check or re-analyze data.
