CPhI has released the agenda for its forthcoming two-week virtual event, CPhI Festival of Pharma, which will be taking place on Oct. 5–16, 2020. The agenda was announced in a Sept. 3, 2020 press release.
Forming part of the virtual program, Dr. Scott Gottlieb—former FDA commissioner—will be presenting the keynote session, during which he is expected to address sustainable innovation in industry. Additionally, Adrian van den Hoven, director general, Medicines for Europe, will talk about lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other speakers for the virtual event include Gil Roth, founder of the Pharma & Biopharma Outsourcing Association, who will talk about the future of drug manufacturing; and Dave Meyers, national director US Life Sciences Industry, Microsoft, who will focus on cross-sector collaborations between tech and pharma. Additional issues, such as the supply chain and workplace wellbeing post COVID-19, will also be tackled.
The Women in Leadership Forum, which is a regular event at the CPhI Worldwide congress, will also be held virtually, including talks from female CEOs. Additionally, the CPhI Pharma Awards will be held via a dedicated virtual ceremony.
“We have designed the content to be incredibly varied and will feature a range of formats from webinars, panel discussions, and podcasts to traditional media interviews, white papers, and unique market insights,” said Tara Dougal, head of content at CPhI Festival of Pharma, in the press release. “The latter will run in the second week and mirror our traditional World of Pharma podiums with market data on India, Japan, and the US.”
