Hygienic Band Sealer Uses a Modular, Ergonomic Design for Medical Packaging

Syntegon’s redesigned continuous band sealers can be configured for various packages.

Syntegon Technology launched a redesigned continuous band sealer machine range, with a stainless-steel machine frame as standard that enables use in hygiene-critical production environments. The Doboy CBS-D 750 has a 7.5-inch heat bar and the CBS-D 1500 has two 7.5-inch heat bars. The new models are fully modular so that the machines can be configured as needed.

The ergonomic designs have adjustable heights that simplify the bag infeed. New polycarbonate guards let more light into the working cell and give operators easy access to the sealing unit for machine operation and maintenance. The improved human-machine interface (HMI) can be adjusted flexibly for horizontal and vertical machine use.

The medical versions of the continuous band sealers, Doboy CBS-D 750 M and 1500 M, are designed to meet the medical packaging validation requirements for products to be sterilized. The machines have direct access to the test ports for validation and machine calibration. The HMI regulates temperature, pressure, and speed, and the integrated medical pneumatic control system includes a digital display regulator for maintenance and control.
