FT-IR Spectrometer
The new Fourier-Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer from Protagen Protein Services is used for advanced structural characterization of protein-based biologics and monitoring of vibrational modes of the amide bonds within a protein while in its native state and formulation matrix.
The new Fourier-Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer from Protagen Protein Services is used for advanced structural characterization of protein-based biologics and monitoring of vibrational modes of the amide bonds within a protein while in its native state and formulation matrix.
The device comes equipped with an AquaSpec transmission cell and expands the analytical capabilities of PPS in a short time period. The spectrometer also conducts rapid and sensitive assays with a high degree of throughput which allows for accelerated data acquisition while requiring low sample amounts. The spectrometer can be used for the analysis of salts, detergents, and excipients while also completing overall biopharmaceutical characterization, stability and comparability studies, biosimilarity assessment, and formulation development.
