I Holland, a leading manufacturer of tablet tooling for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, has developed a range of metalized bellows and drip cups to help stop costly manufacturing problems caused by granule contamination during the tabletting process.

Punch bellows and drip cups, work by preventing tablet and punch guide contamination during the tablet compression process, forming a seal between the turret and punch barrel. The close proximity of these to the die table may occasionally lead to the inclusion of small fragments of material in the finished tablet. To help in preventing this problem, I Holland has developed bellows and drip cups that are identifiable by standard metal detection equipment. This innovative design means that tiny fragments of material will not reach the end user

All I Holland bellows and drip cups are made from silicone and are 100% Food & Drug Administration (FDA) compliant. The metallized versions are also completely detectable at a size of 2mm x 2mm (tests carried out using an INSIGHT PH metal detector), giving peace of mind that the end tablet will be of the highest standard.

I Holland’s range of metalized bellows and drip cups are offered in a range of sizes. For further information, please contact info@iholland.co.uk.
