Juniper Pharma Services Adds Tablet Press

Juniper Pharma Services has announced an investment to expand its contract manufacturing capabilities for tablet production.

On June 21, 2016, the company announce that it added tablet manufacturing capabilities with the purchase and validation of an additional tablet press at its Nottingham, UK facility. The RoTab tablet press (kg-pharma) is designed for batch sizes from 50 g to 50 kg and can produce up to 42,000 tablets per hour. The company can produce single and bi-layer tablets in multiple tooling formats. 

The company previously announced expansions to its spray drying, topical, and semi-solid capabilities. 

Juniper Pharma Services develops and produces oral and topical drug products for clinical trials and optimizes formulation through its science-led approach to projects. 

The CDMO’s GMP clinical manufacturing capabilities are based at its site in Nottingham and are supported by its materials characterization, analytical, and IP consultancy services.
