rlc Invests in New Packaging Center in Switzerland

The rlc packaging group announced that it is investing in a third pharmacenter near Zurich, Switzerland. This investment comes in response to the increasing demand for high quality and safe pharmaceutical packaging. rlc already has two pharma packaging centers in Rüdersdorf near Berlin, Germany and in Poznan, Poland.

The third pharmacenter will open in 2016 to serve the Swiss market. It will be equipped with capabilities such as inline Braille embossing and a DOTScan Braille inspection system that checks dot accuracy and height.

rlc says it is investing in technologies to standardize production operations across its three pharmacenters; this move will enable rlc to better manage production peaks.

rlc offers packaging solutions and other services such as assembly and packing of folding cartons, leaflets, and primarily packaged drugs in compliance with German pharmaceutical law and just-in-time distribution at the company's Rüdersdorf site. The portfolio for package inserts ranges from unfolded and pre-folded inserts to outserts.
