"Sustainability has been a key driver of our business ethos at UBM Live for quite some time. As such, we want to ensure that this commitment to sustainability is evident in not only the set up of the event, but also through our awards series, so it is fitting that two of the 2012 CPhI Pharma Award categories celebrate and encourage sustainability," Andrew Pert, brand director of UBM, said in a statement. "Our recent 2012 Madrid registrant survey shows that 92% of respondents rate sustainability as important to the future development of their company. Furthermore over 73% of these respondents have already built sustainability into their policy. Sustainable business is not a trend. It is a new way to do business in a responsible manner."
Tuesday’s presentations are free to attend for all exhibitors and visitors. The winners will be announced at a networking reception and rewards ceremony, which will be held from 18.00 at the North Entrance of the venue.
