trinamiX GmbH, a subsidiary of BASF SE, announced on March 23, 2020 that it is launching a mobile, handheld near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy solution for factory and laboratory applications.
The measurement device comes equipped with an infrared semiconductor to efficiently examine the molecular structure of materials in a wavelength range up to 2,5 µm, along with mobile and robust hardware, precise data and material analytics, and molecular and chemical capabilities.
Device capabilities include inbound control, quality checks, on-the-field analytics, and material sorting and identification. The company states that trinamiX production capabilities are suited for high-volume production that runs all the way up to consumer electronics-level supply demands.
