Make Yourself Count
This year, the employment survey will acknowledge the industry's best employers.
Pharmaceutical Technology has been the authoritative source of the industry for more than 30 years. One of our unique resources is the annual employment survey, which has been part of this publication for the past 20 years. The article, appearing in the December issue, is more than a salary update; it provides a look into the industry workplace from the perspective of those who know it best. Readers have let us know that they turn to the survey as one of their resources when making hiring decisions or future career plans.

Globalization is leading to big changes in the industry, but one of the most universal topics of interest to professionals worldwide is the current work environment. About 10 years ago, to make the results of the employment survey more comprehensive, we gave the survey an international perspective. This year, we would like to expand on this goal and encourage even greater participation from our readers outside the United States.
We've also added a new segment to this year's survey. Recognizing that high levels of job satisfaction come from good employers, the questionnaire invites participants to nominate their company as one of the "Best Companies to Work for" in the industry. Past survey participants have voiced their opinions about what they enjoy the best about their jobs, and many of these opinions have centered around the job environment at their particular company. This year, we hope to recognize these companies and perhaps inspire new and future employers.
