CPhI North America Partners with iBIO to Foster Female Leadership in Biopharma

The partnership includes a $10,000 donation to fund Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO) STEM programming for girls in grades three through eight.

On April 12, 2019, CPhI North America, a major North American pharma supply chain event, announced a partnership with Illinois Biotechnology Innovation Organization (iBIO) under which CPhI North America will donate $10,000 to the iBIO EDUCATE Center, whichdelivers industry-led STEM programs to teachers and students. The partnership aims to support STEM programming for girls and foster female leadership in the biopharma industry. In addition to this donation, iBIO members will receive 30% off the event attendee rate for the upcoming CPhI North America 2019 event, being held from April 30–May 2 in Chicago, IL.

iBIO is an association that comprises more than 85,000 life-science employees at member companies, universities, service providers, and venture firms throughout Illinois. 

CPhI North America’s donation will be used to fund iBIO’s Stellar Girls and STEM Girls Camp. Both programs work to introduce girls in grades three through eight to careers in STEM. Stellar Girls conducts after-school programming and the STEM Girls Camp holds a five-day summer camp.

CPhI North America’s Women in Leadership Forum takes place Thursday, May 2, 8:00am–11:00am. iBIO will be presented with the $10,000 donation check at the forum.
