A new Korsch press offers flexibility to produce single and bilayer tablets.
A XT 600 double-rotary press from Korsch is geared toward high-volume production of single and bilayer tablets. An exchangeable turret offers the flexibility to efficiently produce a tablet of virtually any size and shape.
The tablet press offers a 60 kN or 100 kN compression column for precompression and main compression. The press has low noise and a patented carrier plate design that isolates vibration in the compression zone. The space-efficient design has a small footprint but ample access for cleaning, changeover, and turret exchange. Accessible, multifunction channels on the corners of the machine are non-load bearing and provide a place for cables, lubrication lines, and dust extraction ports to create an ergonomic and clean compression zone that permits streamlined changeover and turret exchange.
A new human-machine interface (HMI), the Smart-Touch HMI, has a 19-inch display that provides an intuitive operating experience, allowing operators to move, zoom, and scroll through content easily. The control capability is supplemented by multi-media online help that features pictures, videos, drawings, and access to machine manuals to support machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
