Gerresheimer now offers its Gx RTF syringes with SG ITC (Integrated Tip Cap) twist-off closure from Stevanato Group. The twist-off cap is designed for user friendliness while maintaining the integrity of the syringes.
The new integrated seal caps consist of an elastomeric component that is inserted into a translucent polymer cap; the integrated cap is screwed together with a Luer Lock adapter and assembled on the syringe. The Gx TWILC (Twistable Integrated Luer lock Closure) syringes can be filled on existing filling lines.
The elastomeric component is available in multiple formulations, and the system is suitable for vaccines, hyaluronic acid, biotech drugs, and other viscous drugs. The syringes with the new twist-off closure system will be offered in 1.0 mL long and 1.0 ml short sizes.
