Event Overview:

This presentation will look at the stages of package testing. With the critical roll-out of vaccines, it is inevitable that society will look for newer, better and more efficient ways to distribute doses. That requires new package designs.

New designs require initial package validation (Helium), ongoing package testing during stability (requires non-destructive testing) and then production. Different technologies and solutions are targeted for specific stages of pharmaceuticals development. This presentation will outline container closure integrity solutions based on this approach.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • How to evaluate the different stages of package testing
  • Technology capabilities and how they can be leveraged for package design
  • Solutions and pathways to navigate the next generation package testing and design

Who Should Attend:

  • Technical specialists within the parenteral pharmaceutical field, focused on lab space, fill-finish and all container/packaging operations.

Oliver Stauffer

Oliver Stauffer received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Michigan and completed his MBA at Georgetown University – The McDonough School of Business. He worked for several years in analytical and R & D laboratories. His expertise and focus has primarily been new sensory technologies and test method development specific to package testing. Stauffer joined PTI in 2005 as a member of the research and development team working on non-destructive testing of blister packaging. In 2006, he joined the sales team as sales/applications engineer for PTI Inspection Systems. He held the position of International Business Development Manager for PTI through 2010, focusing on global quality solutions for package inspection that are robust, faster, cleaner, cheaper to maintain, and that reduce manufacturing waste. In 2012, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer and V.P. Inspection Technologies. In 2016 he was appointed President and CEO.
