Steam Sterilizers for Laboratory Applications

Steris added the Amsco 430LS and 630LS sterilizers to its line of medium steam sterilizers. These systems can process loads at temperatures from 100 to 137 °C, and come in a range of sizes and door configurations to accommodate various facility layouts. 

The sterilizers’ control system is preprogrammed with standard cycles for specific laboratory applications, including waste decontamination in autoclavable bags, testing of glassware per United States Pharmacopeia (USP) 600 standard, and sterilization of high cell density perfusion systems. Additionally, the control system can be programmed to send process data, cycle status alerts, and alarms via emails and texts. The sterilizers also feature the company’s standard and upgraded water conservation systems, and can interface with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems or PCs.
