CPhI Russia Opens in Moscow on March 30

CPhI Russia 2016 planned for companies seeking pharma business opportunities in region.

CPhI Russia @ IPhEB, scheduled for March 30–April1 at JSC VDNH (VVC), Moscow, will feature exhibits of ingredients, equipment, and technology; a conference providing insight into the local market; exhibitor presentations; and a matchmaking program to promote business activity.

The event, organized by UBM EMEA, is in its fourth consecutive year and targets companies looking to gain access to the Commonwealth of Independent States and central and eastern European regions.

Exhibitors include companies providing pharmaceutical ingredients, machinery, equipment and technology, packaging, and drug delivery systems.  Exhibiting companies include Pharmasyntez, Indukern, Protek-SVM, Merck, Serdix, Kelun Kazfarm, and Sotex.

The IPhEB Conference features sessions on gaining insight into the local market, pilot projects aimed at pharmacological support, requirements for accreditation pharmaceutical industry professionals, food supplements versus medicines, and a master class in market access in healthcare.

Russia’s pharmaceutical market is positioned a one of pharma emerging markets, the CPhI Russia organizers report. Russia’s 2020 plan, introduced in 2009, provides government investment, with nearly $5 billion in funding, to increase domestic finished-dose pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D capabilities. Demand for international pharmaceutical ingredients, manufacturing, and packaging equipment is increasing in order to upgrade existing manufacturing sites to GMP standards, the organizers report.
