Drug Compounder Recalls Sterile Products

Moses Lake Professional Pharmacy issues recall due to lack of sterility assurance.

On July 24, 2015, Moses Lake Professional Pharmacy (Moses Lake, Washington) announced a voluntary recall of human and veterinary sterile compounded drugs due to a lack of sterility assurance. Although the company has not yet received any reports of product contamination or adverse events, it is issuing the recall after a recent inspection identified an issue with sterility.
The recalled products were produced from July 21, 2014 through July 21, 2015 and were distributed to patients in Arizona, Idaho, Florida, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. More information on the recalled products can be found on FDA’s
