The GC-2010 Plus features Shimadzu’s Advanced Flow Technology providing components which improve productivity and enhance performance. AFT packages available are: Multidimensional GC/GCMS, backflush kit, detector splitting system and detector switching system.
The MDGC/GCMS-2010 is a Multidimensional GC system which provides unequalled separation power with high reproducibility facilitating analyses of the most complex samples such as petroleum products, aromas, and optical isomers. The backflush system reverses the flow of the carrier gas through the pre-column after the last compound of interest eluted onto the main column to discharge residual and high contaminants from the system after injection. This shortens the analysis time and improves productivity. These high boiling point components are discharged from the split vent, preventing column contamination and shift in the retention time. The backflush system is suited to applications where the target components are eluted in a relatively short time, but where elution of high boiling point contaminants increases the overall analysis time.
The detector splitting system incorporates hardware and software enabling the user to easily install, optimize and operate a GC system consisting of a single injection and analytical column that is split to multiple detectors whereas the detector switching system allows fast and easy change between detectors.
