CPhI Worldwide 2012 will take place at Feria de Madrid, an enormous exhibition centre in one of Madrid’s busiest business areas. One of the easiest ways of accessing CPhI is via the metropolitan underground transport system (Line 8, Stop Campo de las Naciones), which has links with Madrid Barajas International Airport and the city centre. Several buses are also available to different parts of Madrid. If you’re staying closer to the exhibition centre, many hotels offer a shuttle service during trade shows. Alternatively, you can use buses or taxis to access the event.

More information, including access maps, are available on the Feria de Madrid website.

Information is also available on the CPhI website.

Getting to know Madrid

While at CPhI, why not complement your visit by spending some time in the city of Madrid? Although the exhibition centre is around 15 km from the city centre, Madrid has a lot to offer visitors. Generally, October is also a good time to be in the city, as the weather tends to be warm while not being uncomfortably hot.

Madrid is the largest city in Spain and the third largest city in the European Union. Getting around the city is straightforward thanks to the extensive metro system, but despite the modern infrastructure the city has also retained a historic atmosphere in many of its neighbourhoods. Some of the top sights for visitors include the Prado Museum, which is considered one of the finest museums in Europe, the Royal Palace of Madrid, the official residence of Spain’s royal family, and the Puerta del Sol, a beautiful square that is one of the most well known and busiest locations in the city.
