Multimode Microplate Reader Expands Versatility

Thermo Scientific’s multimode microplate reader, the Varioskan LUX, is designed with intuitive software to allow for automatic and versatile functionality when performing microplate assays. The reader comes equipped with Thermo’s SkanIt Software to simplify data acquisition and analysis and increase reliability in results with continuous data capture throughout the run. 

Equipped with smart safety controls with automated plate check, built-in shaker speed control, and automatic prime check and position sensors for the built-in dispensers, the instrument eliminates the need to manually adjust sensitivity settings with its automatic optimal reading range based on signal intensity in the well. Additional features include a modular design that can measure absorbance, fluorescence, intensity, luminescence, time-resolved fluorescence, and AlphaScreen; integrated gas module; and instrument self-diagnostics and auto-calibration.
