Pharma Tech Industries Introduces High-Speed Bottling Line to Missouri Facility

Pharma Tech introduced a new high-speed bottling line to its facility in Union, MO.

On Dec. 14, 2016, Pharma Tech Industries introduced a new high-speed bottling line for the production of prescription, over the counter, and nutritional ingestible products at its Union, MO facility. The line includes several units from production equipment manufacturer PneumaticScaleAngelus including unscrambling, filling, checkweighing, metal detection, capping, induction sealing, bundling, and casepacking equipment. The line is capable of filling speeds up to 300 bottles per minute, with a bottle size capacity of five inches in diameter and 10 inches in height.

The new bottling line is housed in a new ISO 8 Class 100,000-controlled environment designed for non-sterile prescription pharmaceutical-grade oral products. The addition is part of Pharma Tech’s recent expansion at its production facility in Union, MO. The multimillion-dollar investment has added approximately 55,000-ft2 of manufacturing space, bringing the facility’s total area to 155,000-ft2. Included in the expansion is another high-speed bottling line, as well as a 20,000-ft2 building housing an analytical/microbial lab, and additional warehousing space.
