Brookfield's Powder Flow Tester delivers quick and easy analysis of powder flow behavior in industrial processing equipment.
Brookfield’s Powder Flow Tester delivers quick and easy analysis of powder flow behavior in industrial processing equipment. The PFT is ideal for manufacturers who need to eliminate the downtime and expense of erratic powder discharge from hoppers. Customers can perform QC checks for incoming materials, rapidly characterize new formulations for flowability and adjust composition to match flow behavior of established products.
The Brookfield Powder Flow Tester features a variety of test options including: Flow Function; Wall Friction; Time Consolidated; Bulk Density. Data output includes “normal stress” and “shear stress” values plotted in graphical format using Mohr Circle Failure analysis to generate Flow Function curves.
Time estimates for duration of each test are automatically calculated. The operator also has a choice of graphical or tabular Data Output Format for each test. Calculations for arching dimension, rat-hole diameter, and hopper half-angle are automatically provided over-lay capability for data analysis of up to eight different sample tests is available.
All accessories for handling powder samples are supplied. The PFT features a small footprint that fits conveniently on a benchtop.
APPLICATIONS: Pharmaceuticals, Foods, Nutraceuticals, Adhesives; Cereals; Chemicals; Chocolate; Cosmetics; Flavorings; Flour; Salt; Starch; etc.
