Companies Launching Equipment and Services at CPHI Milan 2026

CPHI Milan, happening from October 6-8, 2026 in Milan, Italy, is expanding with 4 new zones: artificial intelligence (AI) and tech, cold chain and logistics, contamination control, and labeling.¹ The show is also introducing a Sustainability Summit² and continuing its Leadership Summit.³

The event will feature a variety of companies launching new products and services. The following are a few of those companies and what they are featuring at this year’s event.

New Gene Manufacturing Platform

Companies showcasing equipment and services at the event include Shilpa Biologicals (Booth 12J33), which is announcing the launch of a new gene-to-good manufacturing practice (GMP) manufacturing platform, SB HiMax. The new platform, created to accelerate development timelines, will allow biotechs to take monoclonal antibody programs from gene to clinical supply in 9 months and complex bispecific and trispecific antibodies to clinical supply in 11 months.

SB HiMax creates an integrated pathway from clone development and cell-bank creation through upstream and downstream process development, analytical-method development, GMP drug-substance manufacturing and drug-product filling. The platform has chemistry, manufacturing, and controls development and regulatory support embedded throughout and in parallel, allowing for a program to progress towards clinical studies without repeatedly transferring between different providers. It also improves yield, with the platform typically achieving >5 g/L, and scales to 2000 L while maintaining critical quality attributes and less than 10% titer variation.

“We realized the 2 biggest issues facing biotechs are: how can they expedite the process of reaching phase 1 studies, and can they get there with a cell line and process that are economical and high yielding? The challenge, of course, is that this type of solution requires a multipronged strategy, and large CDMOs [contract development manufacturing organizations] are unlikely to be able to look so prescriptively at a solution,” said Uday Harle, CEO Shilpa Biologicals, in a press release.⁴ “That is why we have created this new platform, enabling us to take a holistic approach so that biotechs can advance to studies more efficiently while saving precious time.”

Patient-Centric Formulations

Roquette (Booth 1A18) is showcasing its end-to-end portfolio of excipients, drug delivery solutions, and technical expertise at the event.⁵ Featured will be the company’s METHOCEL cellulose ethers, PEARLITOL mannitol, Avicel microcrystalline cellulose, POLYOX polyethylene oxide, KLEPTOSE cyclodextrins, LYCADEX pyrogen-free dextrose monohydrate, Qualicaps by Roquette hard capsules, and its alginate portfolio from sustainably sourced seaweed. It’s biopharma solutions for upstream processing, downstream efficiency, and formulation support will also be spotlighted.

Packaging Solutions

Systech will be offering live demonstrations of its ST16P Multi-Aggregation and Automated Label Print & Apply Station at CPHI Milan. The company announced the packaging solution, along will its new ST15S Semi-Automated Serialization and Aggregation Station on September 30, 2026.⁶ ST16P Multi-Aggregation and Automated Label Print & Apply Station operates with the UniSeries software and combines packaging, serialization, aggregation, and labeling functions into compact, easy-to-deploy systems, consolidating multiple processes into a single station.

“Packaging operations today are under constant pressure to increase output, maintain compliance and do more with constrained labor and facility resources,” said Steve Engdahl, vice president of Product at Systech, in a press release.⁶ “The ST15S and ST16P were developed to help manufacturers automate critical packaging processes and improve operational efficiency without introducing additional complexity. By bringing serialization, aggregation, rework and labeling capabilities together within integrated systems, customers can streamline workflows, reduce manual intervention and improve packaging productivity.Our product strategy begins with understanding the day-to-day challenges packaging teams face on the production floor. Those insights help us identify opportunities where automation can eliminate inefficiencies, simplify operations and improve overall packaging performance. The ST15S and ST16P reflect that customer-driven approach by delivering practical automation solutions that help manufacturers improve efficiency while remaining adaptable to changing production requirements.”

Sterile Filling Products

Steriline will be exhibiting its sterile filling lines at Hall 9, Stand 9A58. Featured will be the new VKSFCM11 robotic filling line, which the company says improves production efficiency by combining high process flexibility with the ‘zero-loss’ concept and full compliance with Annex 1, and the integration of state-of-the-art AI applications. The line is good for small batches and for cell and gene therapies and incorporates the new OmniAI Vision system.

“Thanks to AI, we can analyze images from the cameras positioned within the production line,” said Alessandro Caprioli, Product Development director at Steriline, in a press release.⁷ “These cameras, situated away from the filling, capping and crimping area, adhere to the ‘first air’ concept, provide wider fields of view and enable us to monitor a greater number of functions, offering clear benefits for our customers.”

The company’s OptiLAIN platform will also be featured. The platform is dedicated to the continuous monitoring of the overall condition of the line and predictive maintenance.

Contract Services and Leadership

CDMO FUJIFILM Biotechnologies, which has been shortlisted for 3 CPHI Pharma Awards, will have experts presenting 3 conference sessions: Pharma’s Structural Shift: What’s Reshaping Global Priorities, Beyond the Blueprint: Executing Europe’s Bio-Manufacturing Vision, and Building a BsAb CMC Playbook: Decision Frameworks, Risks, and Readiness.
