Pass-through chambers in a cleanroom allow materials to be transferred without compromising isolation. Terra Universal introduced a floor-mount model of its BioSafe pass-through with an interlock that prevents both doors from being open simultaneously to protect controlled environments during material transfer. According to the company, the pass-throughs are constructed from electropolished stainless-steel with smooth surfaces and no gaps or crevices that trap contaminants. Windowed or solid doors can be removed for sterilization, and the design allows fast cleaning and disinfection.
