Ross’ Double Planetary Mixer lined with Teflon is designed for high-purity applications and features resistance to chemicals and corrosive materials when stainless steel is not compatible. The mixer is gentle enough to mix shear-sensitive gels and fragile fiber-filled mixtures, yet thorough enough to mix viscous pastes and dough-like materials.

The mixer comes equipped with Teflon-coated high viscosity blades, a Teflon-lined vessel interior, and removable Teflon scrapers for the sidewall and vessel bottom. Thorough and efficient mixing is ensured with identical blades that rotate on individual axes that orbit a common axis. The blades move at a rate of six to 120 rpm with an orbital range of five to 100 rpm, powered by a 1.5 HP inverter-duty motor. An air/oil hydraulic lift raises and lowers the agitators and scrapers into the vessel, and explosion-proof limit switches prevent the mixer from operating when the vessel is removed or not in proper positioning. Mixers are available in standard, sanitary, and heavy-duty models with working capacities of one to 750 gallons. Options include various customizations including temperature probes, heating units, custom sight/charge ports, and recipe controls.
