The system includes a modular design for barrels and screws and an insulated barrels cover. The set also has an extended length that facilitates multiple downstream operations, including multi-stage venting, liquid injection, and up to two of the company’s LSB 50 XX side stuffers for filler/fiber introduction into the melt stream. According to the company, the system can be equipped with a 600-horsepower alternating current motor and produce 1000 kgs+/hr at 1200 screws rpms.
