Contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), Sterling Pharma Solutions, has been granted a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the field of International Trade, it revealed in an April 23, 2019 press statement.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are announced annually and are granted to United Kingdom businesses deemed to have demonstrated ‘outstanding achievement’ in the fields of innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility.

Sterling Pharma Solutions has been recognized for the short-term growth in its overseas sales of its API development and manufacturing services, which has increased by 80% over the past three years.

“We are absolutely delighted to have received a Queen’s Award for International Trade. Following a management buyout in 2016, we’ve invested a lot of time and effort into developing a strong growth plan that allows us to nurture our position both on a national and international scale,” said Kevin Cook, CEO of Sterling, in a press release. “To have our hard work recognized by receiving this accolade is a fantastic tribute to the team and a great platform for our ongoing expansion plans.”
