Wireless Network Monitors Air Cooled Heat Exchanger
Wireless Network Monitors Air Cooled Heat Exchanger
Emerson’s monitoring solution uses a pre-engineered application and networks of wireless instruments. The wireless plug-and-play technology can lower costs so that automated continuous online monitoring can be more easily justified. The monitoring solution oversees and diagnoses failure modes to alert personnel of deteriorating health so operators can adjust operation in a controlled manner to match available cooling and corrective action can be taken. This type of predictive maintenance methodology has been shown to save maintenance costs compared to run-to-failure practices. Automated monitoring also helps operators avoid safety concerns involved with sending personnel on field rounds during manual monitoring and helps prevent slow operator response, which may result in flaring from a relief valve that can be a costly environmental incident.
