Netzsch will present a new compact grinding/separating system, LabCompactPlus, for chemical, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic laboratories at Achema 2018.

Netzsch Trockenmahltechnik will be exhibiting the LabCompactPlus, a modular mill-/classifier unit offering user friendliness, compact design, and flexibility, at Achema 2018 for the first time. The design of the LabCompactPlus takes into consideration typical laboratory conditions with the goal of offering stable, reproducible throughput, and high product yield, in which production parameters can be selected by the user.

The modular principle enables the installation of five different systems in the swivel arm of the plant. With the aid of individual connector sets for electricity and compressed air, the different systems can be exchanged easily. The final particle size can be adapted optimally to suit the requirements of each particular product.

Customers can choose from a fluidized bed jet mill, a high-density bed jet mill, a classifier mill, a fine classifier, and a high-efficiency fine classifier, which Netzsch offers from a single source. Each of these components has been tested and optimized in conjunction with the LabCompactPlus

Alongside the actual grinding and classifying part, the plant also comprises a compact operating module that combines a dosing unit, cyclone, filter, blower, and electrical control unit. Here the material is fed directly into the machine via a screw feeder where it is processed. In the downstream high-efficiency cyclone, the fines are separated out and collected in a product drum. During this process, a downstream fully automatic dust filter continuously cleans the processing air.

The intelligent construction not only guarantees a particularly user-friendly operation as well as easy cleaning and maintenance, it also ensures that the LabCompactPlus can be installed in restricted spaces. The complete plant is mounted together on a single base frame and is delivered ready for installation. It can be commissioned immediately after it has arrived at the customer´s facility.

Visitors can experience the new plant live for the first time at Netzsch´s booth.
