Salimetrics Introduces Assay Kit for Serological Studies of Infectious Diseases

The kit consists of a test volume of 10 µL, a range of 0.39–25 ng/mL, a lower limit of detection of 0.03 ng/mL, and average inter- and intra-assay coefficients of variation less than 10%.

Salimetrics, a salivary biosciences company, announced the introduction of the new Salimetrics Total IgM Assay Kit, a testing kit that counts levels of total human IgM in saliva and other oral fluids, which can be used for sample quality assurance and as added criteria when using oral fluid as an alternative sample type for serological studies.

The kit consists of a test volume of 10 µL, a range of 0.39 – 25 ng/mL, a lower limit of detection of 0.03 ng/mL, and average inter- and intra-assay coefficients of variation less than 10%, according to a May 13, 2020 company press release. The assay is then included in a 96-well plate format for single use and is also offered in bulk packaging for high-throughput applications.
