Ubl Named Next PhRMA President and CEO

Stephen J. Ubl to succeed John J. Castellani as the next president and chief executive officer of PhRMA.

The board of directors of the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) on Sept. 25, 2015 named Stephen J. Ubl the next president and chief executive officer of the association. He succeeds John J. Castellani, who will be retiring at the end of the year.
Ubl joins PhRMA after more than 10 years as the president and CEO of the Advanced Medical Technology Association where he worked with patient advocacy organizations, providers, and public and private payers. He was a board member of the National Health Council.
