As part of a planned process to replace venture-capital financial partners, Suanfarma S.A. has acquired a stake in Idifarma.

Idifarma, a Spanish CDMO, announced that it has received investment from Suanfarma S.A. to further its international growth plans. Established in 2001 as a small start-up business, Idifarma portfolio of services includes high-potency development and manufacturing and spray drying to solve solubility challenges. The CDMO has more than 100 pharmaceutical clients.

As part of a planned process to replace venture-capital financial partners, Suanfarma S.A. has acquired a stake in the CDMO. The company has been supplying raw materials to the pharmaceutical industry for more than 20 years.

Suanfarma S.A. acquired shares from three venture capital firms, while the co-founders of Idifarma remain as shareholders and in executive positions. Two local financial investors (Sodena and Caja Rural de Navarra), which have funded the company since its inception, will also remain as shareholders to provide stability to the CDMO in this new phase of growth.
