PTSM: Pharmaceutical Technology Sourcing and Management
The Empyrean Nano edition offers a combination of advanced X-ray scattering techniques.
PANalytical launched the Empyrean Nano edition in August 2016, a new hybrid laboratory instrument that offers a combination of advanced X-ray scattering techniques. From the experimental data, (nano)material researchers can deduce information about nanoscale structures, dimensions, in addition to order and disorder on the atomic level.
The Empyrean Nano edition supports all major elastic X-ray scattering techniques, namely ultra-small-angle X-ray scattering, small- and wide-angle X-ray scattering, SAXS on biological macromolecules, and total scattering. The instrument includes a high-resolution goniometer, a modular concept based on pre-aligned components, and detector technology. Empyrean Nano edition has the ability to characterize nanoparticles, colloids, protein solutions, surfactants, porous materials, polymers, nanocomposites, liquid crystals, and glasses.
